Deep inside a sea of exporting warehouses, identical suburban homes and an oversaturation of delicious South American fare, you can find MIA Brewing.
Although a little seemingly out of place, it is just what the local residents needed: somewhere in their own neighborhood to get unique local beers and tasty food, open till late.
MIA’s brews on tap vary from time-to-time, but they offer a large selection– with least over 50 different beers to choose from.
They range from many different kinds including: IPA, porters, ales, sours, etc. and they all have unique and clever names like “Miami Weiss”, “Czarface”, and “Baewatch.” But don’t let the funny names fool you– they are pretty serious about their brew.
Out of all the beers I tried, I’ve got to say my absolute favorite right now is the ‘Vitamin Si’ which is a weiss, infused with tangerine, blood oranges and orange blossom water. It really is just the perfect hint of citrus and is never overpowering or too sweet. You still feel like you are drinking a beer, although a very, very delicious one.

I also tried “Regresa a Mi” a light pink Berliner Weisse made with guava and hibiscus. This drink smelled very, very sweet but is actually quite sour once tasted. It’s unique, light and refreshing.
MIA Brewing also offers food and is one of the few breweries here that do so. I ordered the potato & cheese pierogies which were quite tasty and made with cheddar cheese, caramelized onions, pastrami and sour cream.

I also tried their philly cheesesteak quesadilla which tasted exactly how it sounds like and includes a side of salsa and guacamole. The food here is solid but the real star of course is their beers.

Next time I’m definitely going for one of their massive pretzels paired with bacon jam.
Check out this video I did for them not too long ago. The place inside’s got a very cool vibe. Until next bite!
