Food Noize: Molecular ice-cream Edition

Frozen yogurt is just soo 2014.

Today I had a serious craving for Brain Freeze Ice-cream Lab. It was a perfect, sunny afternoon where I am at, but not a single trace of such an amazing molecular treat!

First of all, this is my first experience trying ice-cream made with liquid nitrogen instead of the traditional method. It is far superior in terms of taste and quality.

The Ice-cream at Brain Freeze in Doral is never frozen, but instead created right before your eyes. They use liquid nitrogen to make the ice-cream fresh within minutes.

First, you choose whether you want your ice-cream made from yogurt or cream, the flavor, as well as choosing from endless toppings. You can also choose from their list of unique favorites.

My absolute favorites are the Nutella OMG! and the Cubanito. I was incredibly pleased when I found out they use actual Nutella for their recipe, so what you are getting is the real-deal here folks! Nothing artificially flavored.

I HIGHLY recommend everyone try the Cubanito! Forget everything else. Okay, order that and try the Nutella OMG! as well.

To be honest, growing up I was never a fan of the guava-and-cream-cheese combo that is the Cuban classic, but this ice-cream flavor changed my mind completely and is too good to pass up!

It has real guava and cream cheese, making for a velvety smooth texture. It’s officially my favorite flavor there.

Next time you’re in Doral, check them out. They’re definitely my favorite place to get ice-cream.
